Walnut Dining Room Set

This one of a kind dining room set is handcrafted from solid walnut, Northern white ash and zebra wood. The source for this particular design was inspired by the designs motifs of the American South West and the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Natural wood grain, color and the avoidance of superfluities were key elements in achieving design lines with enduring aesthetic appeal, the hallmark of Dreamwalker Studios.

"Creating heirlooms for the future is a goal that is constantly at the forefront of my design planning and workmanship. To that end I hand-select every piece of wood. The walnut comes from the Eastern USA . This rich dark brown to purplish-black wood is a hard, tough wood with medium density and is very durable. The zebra wood is from Central Africa . This is a hard, heavy, stable wood. The heartwood is a light golden-yellow with narrow veining of dark brown to almost black giving it its zebra-like appearance. I chose the Northern white ash for its clean creamy white color that contrasts wonderfully with Eastern walnut. It is 2% harder than red oak, elastic and very durable." Features include one of a kind, solid walnut table top, a smooth operating steel ball bearing mechanism used for opening the table, leaf storage directly under the table and a five coat catalyzed lacquer finish.

As pictured, it measures approximately 3 x feet wide x 6 feet long with each leaf adding 1 foot in length for a total of 7 feet when fully extended. 

Set includes 1 table (with center support leg), 6 zebra wood backed chairs, 2 with arm rests, and 2 leafs.
